Latest updates and information for treatment
2023 COVID-19 UPDATE : Masks are no longer compulsory for practitioners or clients. Hygiene is still paramount and we continue to clean between appointments minimising the risk of cross-contamination. If clients feel more comfortable wearing masks and/or would like me to wear one, let me know. Where possible, I will continue to ventilate the room via an open window, but rooms will be kept warm for comfort.
Please do not attend your appointment if you are testing positive for Covid or have become recently ill with colds/flu. Please also let me know before your appointment if you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid (even if you are testing negative). A positive result can take a couple of days to show and I will decide whether or not to reschedule your appointment (Being self-employed, I am keen to avoid being ill and having unpaid time off work!) You will not be charged a cancellation fee for illness. If you have a detailed medical history and/or specific issues or concerns that you would like to discuss, please let me know prior to treatment if possible. This helps me to minimise consultation time, allowing time for me to clean between appointments. Extensive consultations will eat into your treatment time.
- CANCELLATION FEES WILL BE RELAXED IN THE EVENT OF EMERGENCY/ILLNESS ONLY. However, I operate a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged 50% of the original booking fee. If you fail to arrive or arrive late, you will be charged 100% of the original booking fee. Missed appointments incur additional costs to me in overheads, lost work and my time.
Please contact me for more information and/or to book an appointment.
Once you have booked, please read the section below, relevant to where you are having treatment, for important information regarding parking, payment methods, etc. (I know it’s tedious, but time I spend trying to find/direct you will be taken off treatment time, so PLEASE READ EVERYTHING! Thank you:))
Treatment at Thrive wellness Cornwall, hayle
Thrive Wellness, Cornwall is located behind the high street in Hayle. Take the small turning off Fore Street, Hayle (the high street), between Julian Foye Furnishings and Mr. B’s ice cream parlour, directly opposite Hayle kebab shop. Bear round to the left at the end of the turning and Thrive is the yellow building on the right with the green door & the Thrive sign.
We have no card-paying facilities, so please bring cash. Alternatively, I can send you my bank details and you can Bacs me in advance of the appointment.
When you arrive, please come into the reception area to your right and take a seat and I will be with you for your appointment time. If you have an appointment booked, the door will be open so PLEASE DO NOT RING THE DOORBELL as this disturbs other clients/practitioners. Feel free to make tea/coffee using the facilities. The toilet is directly opposite the front door as you come in.
I operate a 24-hour cancellation fee, so please let me know in advance if you can’t make it to avoid being charged.
PARKING:
Parking is limited outside, although there are plenty of options nearby (see below). We have one allocated spot for Thrive clients, which is first on the right past our building & next to the hedge. You may also park along the white wall of Julian Faye’s (on your right as you drive in off the high street). PLEASE DO NOT PARK in the other residents’ spots along the hedge, or in the larger parking area containing allocated spaces for the Vets’ customers, which are marked on the walls.
If there is no parking directly outside the centre, there are several options available within a few minutes’ walk:
You can park free for up to 90 mins in Home Bargains (a 2-min walk). You do not need to buy anything from Home Bargains to get the free parking, but camera plate recognition logs entry/exit times on the bridge as you drive in/out, so please do not exceed 90 mins or you will be automatically ticketed!
On the main street, coming FROM Lidl/A30, the parking lay-bys on the right (opposite the park) until the first parade of shops, are free to park in. Please always double-check for parking plates to ensure you are not parking in a restricted area. Parking is restricted to 1 hour throughout Hayle Fore street.
The nearest council car park is Commercial Road, located on the main road 0.3 miles/6 minute walk from the centre, charging £2 for 2 hours, free 4pm-9am (please double-check restrictions/fees as they may have changed!)
There is also a car park at the Cornubia Inn pub, on the opposite side of the road to our turning, less than 1 min away. This is a pay & display carpark available for the public (not just for patrons), £1 for 1 hour.
If you struggle to park, text or WhatsApp me and I will endeavour to help you when I’m finished with my previous client if I can. You can also watch the handy video on the Thrive website here, for visual reference when you arrive!

Treatment at the Attic Cellar Treatment Rooms
Space is limited in our waiting room so if possible, please arrive no more than 5-10 mins early, to minimise over-crowding! The Attic Cellar is on the first floor above the bike shop. Come up the stairs when you arrive, through the door to your left into the reception area. We ask that clients wash their hands before treatment, so please feel free to use the bathroom (located to the right of the reception desk, through the door on the right then immediately left, in the kitchen).
We do not have full-time reception so if nobody is available to greet you, take a seat and I will be out to see you at your appointment time.
PARKING:
There is no parking at the Attic Cellar and the streets are extremely narrow. If you are driving, please set your sat nav to the car park address.
St Ives gets EXTREMELY busy during the holiday season and the carparks fill up quickly, so please allow plenty of time for travel/parking.
When busy, we will not be able to accommodate you if you run late, but you will still be expected to pay for the full treatment booked.
For more information, please also visit the Attic Cellar Treatment Rooms website. For information on parking in St Ives, visit https://www.stives-cornwall.co.uk/discover/good-to-know/parking
Information for Mobile Visits
I have restricted how many mobile visits I do, so please contact me if you would like treatment at home and I will confirm my availability.
I carry my massage couch for mobile visits and will only consider visiting properties where I can park directly outside or have easy access. I require access to a sink, soap and either a clean towel or kitchen towel so that I can wash my hands before and after treatment.
[show_more more=”Read more” less=”Read less” color=”#f05515″]I do not supply towels, so clients can use their own bedding, blankets, cushions or pillows to lie on/cover themselves and be comfortable.
If possible, please ventilate the room I will be treating you in via an open window, leaving doors ajar, etc. Please only allow household members that I will be treating to enter the room during my visit and ideally, only the person I am treating whilst I am working (with the exception of minors, who require the presence of a parent or guardian during treatment).
I am happy to see more than one person during my visit and can offer several treatment types depending on requirements.
Prices vary depending on location and total journey time. I will give you an exact price when booking and payment will be due, via Bacs prior to the appointment.
I do not visit sole male clients at home.[/show_more]
